They Changed the Locks and Forgot I Legally Owned Half the House-mynraa

My mom texted me: 'We changed all the locks. You don't live here anymore. Let's see how tough you are now. Haha.' Two days later, I got an urgent email from their lawyer: 'We have an issue. Call me right away.'

When I called him, Daniel Keene got straight to it.

'Ms. Hart, you are on the deed as a fifty percent owner,' he said. 'Your parents cannot legally lock you out, remove your property, or borrow against that home without your consent.'

For a second I thought I had misheard him.
